What We Do Not Accept
To protect the quality of our platform and the trust of our readers, we firmly decline the following.
- Purely promotional content about a specific hotel, tour operator or business without genuine editorial value
- Articles already published on another website or blog (we check for duplicate content)
- AI-generated content submitted without substantial human editing and first-hand personal observations
- Destinations outside South India, unless comparative in nature (e.g. Coorg vs Munnar)
- Articles under 1,200 words or with fewer than 3 original photographs
- Generic listicles with no original insight (e.g. "Top 10 Hill Stations in India" copied from other sources)
- Commercial links, affiliate links inside the article body, or links to irrelevant websites
Submission Guidelines
Meet these standards and your article has a strong chance of acceptance. We edit for clarity, SEO and style — but your voice stays yours.
Word Count
Minimum 1,200 words. Ideal length is 1,800–2,500 words. In-depth guides perform better on Google and for our readers.
Original Photos
Minimum 3 original photos taken by you. No stock images. Minimum 1,200px wide. Watermark-free. Submit via Google Drive folder.
Format
Google Docs only. Use heading styles (H2, H3). Include a title, meta description (150 chars), and suggested URL slug.
Author Bio
Up to 120 words. Include your name, travel experience, social media handles and one link to your website or blog.
Backlink Policy
One dofollow link to your website or blog, provided it is travel-related and adds value to readers. No commercial, affiliate or unrelated links.
Exclusivity
Your article must not have been published elsewhere — online or offline. We run all submissions through a plagiarism check before acceptance.
Practical Information
Include real, useful data: entry fees, timings, distances, transport options, approximate costs and best time to visit. Vague content is declined.
First-Hand Experience
Your article must be based on a trip you actually took. Include your visit date or season in the author note. Armchair writing is rejected on sight.
The Submission Process
From draft to published article — here is exactly what happens after you hit submit.
Submit the Form Above
Fill in the form on this page with your article title, category, Google Doc link and a short author bio. Make sure your document is set to "Anyone with the link can view."
Editorial Review (7–14 Days)
Our team reviews your article for quality, originality, accuracy and fit with our content strategy. We run a duplicate content check on every submission.
Feedback or Acceptance Email
You'll receive one of three responses: accepted as-is, accepted with revisions needed, or declined with brief feedback. We respond to every submission.
Final Edits & Formatting
Accepted articles go through SEO formatting, schema markup, internal linking and image optimisation by our team. We may lightly edit for clarity and style.
Published & Promoted
Your article goes live with your byline and bio. We share it on our Instagram, Facebook and in our weekly newsletter to 4,200+ subscribers.
Sponsored Articles
Hotels, tourism businesses and travel brands can publish sponsored articles on Intercity Travel Hub. These are clearly labelled as "Sponsored Content" and are permanently indexed.
Promote Your Property or Service
A sponsored article gives your hotel, resort, tour package or travel service editorial-quality coverage that ranks on Google long after publishing. Includes professional copywriting, photos, schema markup and one month of homepage sidebar placement.
